What is the pageant style for Miss Apple Festival?
We celebrate natural beauty. Please no fake hair, teeth or spray tans children 9 and under. We are NOT a glitz pageant. Stones on gowns are fine, however they should not be overwhelming on the dress. Be relaxed, have fun, show your personal style and inner beauty! This is your chance to shine!

What is the Community Service Award?
FREE to enter! We are collecting dog food, cat food and kitty litter for the Unicoi County Animal Shelter! Items must be brought with you day of pageant (open bags, Ziploc bags, and containers of unused/pre-owned food are not acceptable). We will have volunteers that will help you unload and will hand count your items.
Goal is 5,000 pounds. Awards are as follows:
100 pounds = crown
250 pounds = crown, gift
400 pounds = crown, gift, sash
600pounds =crown,gift,sash,medal
800 pounds = all above + $50 off entry fee for Miss Tri-Cities 2019
1,000 pounds = all above + Beauty & Side Awards entry fee FREE for Miss Tri-Cities 2019
*Top 4 contestants that donate the most receive all above + HUGE crown, photo in VIPSeen Magazine, photo used on our website & social media all year. (must be over 1,000 lbs)

Miss Apple Festival Elite is Dollar-A-Vote day of pageant.
Most votes WINS gorgeous crown, sash, trophy, gifts & QUALIFY to compete at the state pageant!! Cash and credit/debit only please. Does not affect overall score. Yes, we double crown! 100% proceeds go to Jurnee’s Journey Foundation (501c3). Check with your tax advisor for potential tax deduction.
If I win Miss Apple Festival Elite, am I eligible to win other awards?
Yes, we double crown! This is an optional category that does not affect your overall beauty score.
What is Miss Candy Apple?
Wear anything with apples on it or apple related (get creative)! Outfits, short sets, dresses (no bathing suits or mid-drift showing; no stage props). 3 Miss Candy Apples will be crowned in age groups: 0-3, 4-9, and 10 & up and will receive a crown and deluxe sash.

This does not affect your overall beauty score, as this is an optional category. Yes, we double crown!
Bring up to three 5x7 or 8x10, color or black/white photo(s) day of pageant and turn in at registration. Contestants name AND age division must be clearly printed on all photos. All photos will be returned after pageant. OPTIONAL title, does not affect beauty score. 3 Photo Supremes will be crowned in age groups: 0-3, 4-9, and 10 & up and will receive a crown, sash, medal/plaque.
What is the Mother/Daughter contest?
Moms, Step Moms, Grandmothers: strut your stuff with your contestant! Wear matching tops, dresses or anything you like! You BOTH could win a crown! Just $10 to compete. Sign up at registration the day of the pageant, or click the check box on the online entry form.
Is a contestant allowed to have someone in the dressing room?
Everyone needs to come ready to compete. We will have a dressing room with mirrors and a restroom available for touch ups. Only 1 person allowed in dressings rooms or backstage with each contestant. NO hair/makeup artists are allowed in the dressing room or backstage. ABSOLUTELY NO MEN OR BOYS OVER THE AGE OF 8 ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOM OR BACKSTAGE.
Is there a spectator door admission fee?
Yes, $5 for all spectators ages 5 & up.
Is there a sibling discount?
After first full paid entry, second sibling receives $10 off. Third sibling receives $20 off. Must live in same household.
Deadline for this discount is June 1, 2018. (Cannot be used in combination with early bird discount).
What time should I arrive at the pageant?
Registration begins at 10 a.m. and ends PROMPTLY at 1:30 p.m. No entries will be accepted after 1:30 p.m. Pageant begins at 2 p.m.
Will I receive score sheets?
You may pick up score sheets after the pageant. If they are not picked up, then they will be discarded immediately after the pageant.
What format do we model in?
Modeling will be completed in T-Formation. See picture below.
Where will the judges be from?
The judges will be from out of the area. We do our best to make sure that our judges do not know anyone who is competing. Decisions of judges are final. By signing your entry form you acknowledge our terms and conditions. Signature is required before you can compete. We pride ourselves on being a fair and honest system.
DISCLOSURE: There are NO refunds. Disorderly conduct by parents, spectators, and participants will not be tolerated. Any disorderly persons will be asked to leave the pageant premises immediately. The pageant directors, Wonder Images, Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce and all associated parties are NOT responsible for injuries during travel to or from the event, during the event, or for lost or stolen items at the event. We reserve the right to combine or split age divisions. Supreme winners may be asked to attend local community events, and attend the 2019 pageant to crown their successors. All royalty (grand supreme, photo supreme, festival ambassador, queens, kings and runners up) will be eligible to compete at the 2019 Tennessee Festival State Pageant in Spring 2019.
