What is the pageant style for Miss Mount Carmel?
We celebrate natural beauty. All contestants will appear before a panel of judges in a sun dress or Sunday dress of choice (no pageant dresses). Please come dressed and ready to compete. Have fun in the summertime sun and let your natural beauty shine on stage! Please no fake hair, teeth or spray tans children 9 and under. We are NOT a glitz pageant. Stones on dresses are fine, however they should not be overwhelming on the dress. Maximum of 10 contestants per age group. Be relaxed, have fun, show your personal style and inner beauty! This is your chance to shine!

What is the People's Choice award?
Vote for your favorite contestant! $1 per vote. Each vote is a donation in that contestant's honor! MAJOR PRIZES to be announced. Vote online now or at door. Top winners with the most votes will receiving each HUGE crown, rhinestone sash, and MORE (minimum 50 votes to be entered). OPTIONAL title, does not affect overall beauty score.
If I win People's Choice, am I eligible to win other awards?
Yes, we double crown! People's Choice is an optional category that does not affect your overall beauty score.

Is a contestant allowed to have someone in the dressing room?
Every contestant needs to come ready to compete. We will have a dressing room with mirrors and a restroom available for touch ups. Only 1 person allowed in dressings rooms or backstage with each contestant. NO hair/makeup artists are allowed in the dressing room or backstage. ABSOLUTELY NO MEN OR BOYS OVER THE AGE OF 8 ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOM OR BACKSTAGE.
Is there a spectator door admission fee?
Yes, $5 for all spectators ages 5 & up.
What time should I arrive at the pageant?
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and ends PROMPTLY at 10:30 a.m. No entries will be accepted after 10:30 a.m. Pageant begins at 11 a.m.
Will I receive score sheets?
You may pick up score sheets after the pageant. If they are not picked up, then they will be discarded immediately after the pageant.
What format do we model in?
Modeling will be completed in T-Formation. See picture below.
Where will the judges be from?
The judges will be from out of the area. We do our best to make sure that our judges do not know anyone who is competing. Decisions of judges are final. By signing your entry form you acknowledge our terms and conditions. Signature is required before you can compete. We pride ourselves on being a fair and honest system.
DISCLOSURE: There are NO refunds. Disorderly conduct by parents, spectators, and participants will not be tolerated. Any disorderly persons will be asked to leave the pageant premises immediately. The pageant directors, Wonder Images, Mount Carmel City Hall, Mount Carmel Block Party Committee and all associated parties are NOT responsible for injuries during travel to or from the event, during the event, or for lost or stolen items at the event. We reserve the right to combine or split age divisions. Winners may be asked to attend local community events, and attend the 2020 pageant to crown their successors.
